    *10 Continuing Education (CE) Clock Hours for Behavioral Health Professionals (Home Study Format)

    The course will educate students on the origins and usefulness of the Enneagram. Students will learn to identify their own Enneagram type and understand how this impacts their clinical work. Clinicians will gain insight into how they move in stress and how they move in health with their clients. Understanding relationship patterns within the lens of the Enneagram, will allow the therapeutic relationship to thrive as the clinician helps the client or clients see their own personality within the relationship. Clinicians will learn how to teach the Enneagram to their clients to help meet treatment goals. The goal in this is so when clients will complete treatment, they will do so with greater self-awareness, thus changing not only their own mental health but also their ability to have success in work and relationships.

    In this course, students will learn the history and foundation for the Enneagram, and how it can be implemented as a therapeutic tool. The course will explore the nine different description types of the Enneagram, and student will be given examples of how these may play themselves out in a different therapeutic settings relevant to the work of behavioral health professionals. The course is designed to help clinicians identify their Enneagram number, and to examine how a clinician's personality impacts the work they do with clients. Specific Enneagram tools that allow clients gain self-awareness and overall improve in their lives and relationships will also be covered.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Students will be able to explain the purpose of the Enneagram Personality Assessment and describe the nine personality types.
    2. Students will analyze their own personality type and its impact on their therapeutic work.
    3. Students will be equipped to use the Enneagram to help clients meet treatment goals such as clinical insight and improved relationships.
    4. Students will given a model on how to teach clients how their family of origin and childhood wounds has impact on their current personality.

    Whitney Owens (MA, LPC) and James P. Owens (MDiv, MA) are helping professionals with a passion for empowering others.

James holds a Master of Divinity, as well as a second Master's degree in Christian Practice. As both a pastor and teacher, James helps churches, small businesses, and other organizations understand how to utilize the Enneagram to positively impact their members and missions.     When does the training start and finish?
    The course becomes available to new students during our open enrollment launches (usually once or twice a year). This is a home-study course that can be done at your own pace, though many of the course lectures where recorded in an initial live teaching of the class. After you purchase the course, you will have 18-months of access to complete the material when convenient in your schedule in the enrollment time.
    How long do I have access to the course?
    This home-study course will available to you for 18-months after the your date of purchase. You will be able to download all of the course material, including the videos, during your enrollment period.
